Windsurfing instructor courses

Piotr Golba, a representative of VDWS in Poland, invites you to take part in a windsurfing instructor course organized in SurfPoint school in Jastarnia.

If you are a great surfer and dream about a career as a windsurfing instructor and work in schools in Poland and abroad this course is for you! VDWS instructor’s course is mostly conducted in the form of workshops, during which the most active are the participants and not the lecturers.

Instructors lecturers mostly act only as moderators, forcing the candidates for instructors to work creatively and look for solutions. Any mistakes made by the trainees are discussed on an ongoing basis on specific examples.

Requirements

Completed 18 years of age
Swimming card
First aid course (min. 9 hours) PCK or other organization (can be done after the VDWS course)
Good mastery of windsurfing (wind strength test 4-6 Beaufort)
Motorboat patent (*)
100 hours of practice in one of the indicated VDWS schools in the country or worldwide (after a VDWS course)

(*) If a course participant does not have a patent, he can submit a certificate confirming his ability to drive a motorboat from the school in which he was practicing.

The course is a mix of lectures and workshops. The candidates are not required to have pedagogical experience. During the course, participants learn about methodical and pedagogical tools that will allow them to carry out correct and high-quality classes in the future.

VDWS courses prepare for conducting classes in different conditions, with different groups (age, size), on different water bodies, in different organizational formulas, and with different clients.
