Wing foil is gaining huge popularity around the world.
Wing Foil has a bit of lift and kitesurfing in it!
If you already have experience in a lift or kite, you can master wing foil even after an hour of lessons!
WING FOIL - a total novelty in the world of surfing!
Wing foil is a new sport that combines the best features of several water sports: kitesurfing, windsurfing and foilboarding. Wing (wing) is constructed in the likeness of kitesurfing kites. Wings are very light due to the materials used and the inflated tubes. They also have a large wind range. Plus a foil board that allows you to levitate above the water and cut waves gently and smoothly 🙂 No wonder this sport is currently breaking popularity records at spots all over the world!
The most interesting aspects of wingfoil:
- You can also practice wing foil on land on a skateboard, skis or snowboard!
- 2 times more days on the water per season!
- the wing tubes are inflatable, very light and have a large wind range!
- the silence that prevails during levitation is beautiful 🙂
- an amazing angle from which you can sail into the wind
Wing Foil is a very safe sport, but it does require undergoing proper training under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
The course is divided into 3 stages:
-
STAGE ONE
controlling the wing and floating on a buoyancy board
APPROX. 2h
(safety rules, preparing the equipment and first wing control, using the wing with a buoyancy board, rotating the wing in deep water, generating power - after this stage you will be able to float on the right and left tack on a buoyancy board) -
STAGE TWO
swimming on a foil behind a motorboat
About 1-2h -
STAGE THREE
swimming on a complete WING FOIL set
Approx. 4h
The last stage is a combination of previously acquired skills. This course focuses on learning how to generate power with the wing while simultaneously introducing the board into levitation. We will also teach you how to perform turns and move to heelside/toeside positions 🙂

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
When can I start learning wingfoil?
at any time! It's a sport for everyone:) It doesn't require any special physical fitness or strength, and you don't have to be able to swim or windsurf or kitesurf (although skills in these disciplines are helpful:)
What is the difference between foil surfing and a normal board?
First of all, a completely different balance on the board is required - on the foil we have to put much more weight on the front leg. And the biggest difference? Levitating is silent 🙂
Is it physically demanding?
No:) Even kids can do it 😉
What depth is required to go foil surfing?
Our foil masts are 60-75 cm high. So we need at least 100 cm to stand freely on the board and even if the stern sinks a bit, it won't catch on the bottom.
Can you sail on foil in Hel?
Here at SurfPoint, in both bases, it is possible 🙂 We go out 100-200m from the shore and fire 😉
During the training, we support ourselves with a dinghy with an engine so that everyone swimming a little further from the shore than usual does not have to worry about anything 🙂
